We have had numerous requests for the full session presentation that Tremaine Wright, Chair of the New York Cannabis Control Board, gave at our CWCBExpo Conference at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
It is quite timely to share Chair Wright’s dynamic and informational address since New York State is now a legal Recreational Use state since passing the Marijuana Regulation & Taxation Act (MRTA) in 2021.

New York Licensing News
The New York Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has opened the Enhanced Application Portal for Cannabinoid Hemp Program licensing.

Meanwhile, the OCM has approved additional Cannabinoid Hemp Regulations at their mid-December 2021 meeting.

Pfizer has announced their acquisition of Arena Pharmaceuticals, based in San Diego, Ca. The purchase price was set at $6.7B. Arena Pharmaceuticals is researching and developing cannabinoid-based therapeutics and has developed an oral medication called Olorinab. Read about it in Hemp Today.
