John Shute is the CEO of PufCreativ, an award-winning, community-driven cannabis marketing agency. With over a decade of experience, John leads creative, revenue-focused strategies for retailers, brands, and vertically integrated operations across the U.S. and beyond.

Under his leadership, PufCreativ has earned top industry honors, including back-to-back EMJAY Awards for “Branding and Marketing Agency of the Year” (2023 and 2024), two CLIO Awards, and multiple ADCANN “Agency of the Year” wins. John himself has been named ADCANN’s “Marketer of the Year” and CEO Monthly’s “CEO of the Year.”

Beyond PufCreativ, John co-founded Cannabis Doing Good, the Cannabis Creative Movement, and the Cannabis Impact Fund — initiatives centered around social impact and community engagement in cannabis. He’s also a regular speaker at major industry events, with past talks at NCIA, Denver University, and General Assembly.
